BREAKING HABITS

You have a trigger. That trigger sets of a set of chemical emotions and or mental/physical responses. A habit is formed when you automatically take an option that is presented to your mind. The habit bypasses your choice mechanism and you "respond" or "react" based on the pattern that you have encoded yourself with. Whether that has been created by an observation or a self created act.

Some of the worse habits are triggered of emotionally and very rarely. They can be linked to anger to stress of whatever you have decided to identifiy as a "situation".  The option of what to do then springs up. you may choose to take it or not. The problem lies in the fact that you may have programmed yourself of accepted the options that you have been given.

The speed that you take the options allows for a scale of catagorised responses:

The Zak Scale of habits -

1, REFLEX - no conscious choice
2, REACTION - flight or flight response (you either run or fight)
3, CHOICE

"For us to evolve we need to ACT through choice" - says Nina

Reflexes are hard coded fast responses designed to save us in emergencies. The danger in modern society is that the we have our reflexes mixed up too much and far to often we endup "responding too quickly" without conscious choice. Im sure stimulants like suger and caffine sent the option through at such a high speed that it is impossible to assess the option.

I need more clarity on the above facts. I'll play around with them a little until Ive cracked it.
