Earthquake Maker

A letter from a brother........

Dear brother,

The day of 8th October 2005 starts with its full brightness in
Pakistan.Due to the Holy month of Ramadan (Fasting Month) the timings of
all the offices,schools and business offices & markets have to start
their respective work early in the day.Most of the schools & offices
have to start within 7:00 am to 8:30 am.The day is going on a very
smooth way till at 8:50 am in the morning on 8th October 2005.I was also
reached my office at 8:45 am earlier to my previous routine.

My revolving chair is going to move very rapidly along with all the
things of the room.At about 8:52 am to 8:58 am in all the cities of
Punjab,NWFP & Azad Kashmir the severe earth quake of 7.6 intensity have
occurred.I rushed outside where all of my colleagues are sitting under
open cloud.All are going to remind their personal sins & prayed for the
safety of everybody in the country.

After the earth quake the reports of this earth quake are coming from
the media very rapidly.Media is showing the 10 story apartment building
(Margala tower ) in the Capital Islamabad totally collapsed & feared of
hundreds of deaths. 

The other major affected province is NWFP & beautiful valley of Azad
Kashmir & northern areas which were famous for their beautiful scenes &
mountains & lakes.

According to the official sources the death toll reaches to 25 thousands
& 60 thousands are injured.Almost five million were homeless & their
home towns are demolished.All the infrastructure of these affected
cities have collapsed including schools,hospitals,government departments
& other offices & buildings are not present after the severe earth
quake.So no body is here to help the wounded & to search for the dead
bodies from the wrecked buildings.The situation is going very worst
now.The people of Pakistan all around the country firstly started the
rescue operations along with government.Many NGO'S & foreign rescue
teams have reached now for the help of needy persons.But I think this
disaster is much much bigger than the Tsunami,Rita & Katrina.

As per my thinking & research the death toll is feared to increase to
150 thousands people & same no of injured.Almost 6 million people have
lost their homes.Many of the cities have been totally vanishes from the
earth & gone to earth.Their is no more ray of hope for life in these
areas now. 

Salient Features of the Earth Quake:-

Affected Areas of the Punjab are as under

Islamabad 80 death hundreds are injured
Murree 6 deaths 50 injured
Mianwali,Gujranwala,Lahore,Rawalpindi,Gujrat & other cities of the
province have affected in minor sense.

NWFP province affected areas are as under

Mansehra,Shangella,Peshwar,Aibatabad,Ballakot Hazara division,Nellam
valley,Battgram,Swat & Northern areas are worst affected places.Also for
these areas of the adjecent thousands of villages include in the worst
affected areas.

Azad Kashmir worst affected areas.

Almost all the valley have been severely affected by the earth
quake.Major cities & their adjacent villages located in mountains & in
likes are fully demolished during earth quake.

The cities are Muzaffarabad,Bagh,Gari habibullah,Rawalakot are the worst
wost affected areas.

It is the worst earth quake after the independence of Pakistan 1947 of
intensity 7.6 on r.scale.
Almost 50 million us dollars of foreign aid in cash form have reached
from various countries & many many more are needed more the
rehabilitations of the people.

This earth quake have made a very positive passion of brotherhood &
creates a very patriotic feelings for the help of their affected
brothers of the affected areas.The passion & want to help the affected
Pakistani brothers have seen very easily throughout the country in full
swing.All the people are contributing in their respective capacity to
lessen the grief's of the people.This great enthusiasm & patriotic
feelings are more than the war of 1965 against India.We are one nation
united against one cause along with the government.All parties
irrespective of their political beliefs stands united for the one cause
to the victims.All the roads are nearly jam by the vehicles carrying
foods & other basic necessities of life.But the problem is to reach the
food & other things to the remote areas where the calamity hits very
badly.The relief goods are many but the matter is to reach the remotest
areas.The foreign rescue teams,NGO'S & army are trying their utmost to
reach those areas.The contribution by the people of Pakistan through
cash after the Earth quake (48 hours later) about 2 billion Pakistani
ruppes are collected.Its really a great satisfaction for us as a nation
to show the world as united as one Nation.Thanks to all the people ok
Pakistan.I just say well done.I in my capacity contribuiate one day of
my salary & give relief things to the affected people.

The cities of
Muzaffarabad,Rawalkot,Bagh,Mansehra,Ballakot,Garihabibullah & Shankiari
are the worst areas where almost 90% life have been wrecked by this
earth quake.

Miracles during the rescue operations:-

After the arrival of foreign rescue teams lots of miracles are still
happening in rescue operations.

(1) French team rescued 5 years child from a school building after 3
days alive , where almost 800 students were dead in the earth quake.

(2) British rescue team has searched two women from Margala towers after
3 days alive, where almost 80 people died.

(3) Turkish team rescued a 45 years lady & 4 years girl from house after
98 hours in wrecked building.

(4) 2 years child rescued by china's team after 7 days.

( 5) 40 years lady & 3 years child have been evacuated from building
after 7 days by British team.

Many of the miracles are happening still during the rescue operations.

So pls remember the affected people in your prayers.
